01 / Our Story
Built by riders.
For riders.
Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the nation's largest statewide mountain bike association. Through nine regional chapters, we serve thousands of riders across Washington — from the Olympic Peninsula to the Methow Valley to Spokane.
We were founded in 1989 by a small group of riders who wanted to make sure mountain biking had a future on Washington's public lands. Thirty-seven years later, we've built or maintain over 850 miles of trail, contribute 29,000 volunteer hours a year, and remain the primary trail-building, advocacy, and education voice for mountain biking in the state.

Show up.
Build trail.
No experience needed. Every work party has a crew lead who'll get you started, the tools are provided, and the trail you build today is the trail you'll ride next month. Bring water, gloves, and snacks — we'll handle the rest.
