Super Pump Rebuilt at Black Diamond Open Space

Vivika Stamolis Jan 28, 2026

Have you ridden Super Pump yet this year?

Super Pump is one of our older trails at Black Diamond Open Space (BDOS) that we rebuilt last fall, marking the final phase of a larger reroute project in the park.

Super Pump was completed after a collaborative effort between Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and King County Parks.

The project was led by Evergreen trail builder Jeremy Bushnell, who oversaw the rebuild as part of the broader work happening in the area.

The rebuild of Super Pump was part of a larger two-year project at BDOS focused on refreshing several trails across the system.

During that time, Evergreen and King County Parks worked together to improve multiple trails, including:

  • Supercharger, which was split into two loops
  • Crooshal
  • Little Something Special

Super Pump was the final piece of this multi-year effort, bringing the project to completion.

A Collaborative Effort

The work on Super Pump was a joint effort between Evergreen and King County Parks.

King County Parks supported the project by donating a machine for the build, assisting with construction, and participating in hands-on training led by Jeremy Bushnell. Jeremy worked with approximately six King County staff members, helping train them in trail building and maintenance techniques.

The build itself took about two weeks to complete, while the larger partnership and trail refresh project spanned roughly two years.

Student-athletes from the Tahoma High School Mountain Bike Team also contributed to the broader project, helping with work on trails like Supercharger and Crooshal.

Super Pump is a cross-country trail with pump-track-style features, designed to keep riders moving through the terrain with rhythm and flow.

This trail and surrounding trails are open to the public to ride. Check out TrailForks for more info, directions, and access.

Building for the Future

Beyond the trail itself, the Super Pump rebuild represents a growing partnership.

The collaboration between Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and King County Parks helped strengthen working relationships and create new opportunities for future trail building and maintenance projects.

With the two-year effort now complete, riders visiting Black Diamond Open Space can experience the results across multiple refreshed trails—including the newly rebuilt Super Pump.
