Code of Conduct
Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive experience for all participants in our programs, events, work parties, and online spaces. This code of conduct applies to all Evergreen members, volunteers, staff, and guests.
Expected Behavior
- Treat all participants with respect regardless of age, gender, ability, experience level, or background.
- Follow all land manager rules and Evergreen trail guidelines.
- Yield to hikers and equestrians on shared-use trails.
- Leave no trace — pack out what you pack in.
- Follow crew lead and staff instructions at all work parties and events.
- Report safety hazards to event staff or chapter leadership immediately.
Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Unsafe riding or operating tools in a reckless manner.
- Damage to trail infrastructure or natural resources.
- Use of alcohol or controlled substances during organized programs or work parties.
- Unauthorized trail construction or modification.
Consequences
Violations of this code may result in removal from events or programs, suspension of membership, or permanent ban from Evergreen activities. Serious incidents involving safety or legal violations will be referred to the appropriate authorities.
