02 / Sawyer Program

Clearing the way
for Washington's trails.

USFS-certified volunteers safely removing downed trees on Evergreen-managed and DNR-managed trails. The program runs on member dues, donations, and the volunteers who show up with chainsaws.

Found a tree down?

Report it on Facebook (PNW MTB group) or email the sawyer crew with photos, tree size, and exact location on trail. The more info, the faster a crew can be dispatched.

Want to join the crew?

Active EMBA members with current First Aid certification can apply for sawyer training. We provide the certification path and the gear standards.

03 / Advocacy

Riders' voices
at the table.

Working with land managers, agencies, and policymakers to keep trails open and accessible. From DNR rulemaking to local permitting to legislative engagement — we represent riders where decisions get made.

Active focus areas: e-bike access on state lands, wildfire-related closures and reopenings, public-private partnership trail building, and statewide trail-funding policy.
